With 5 being the highest, how would you rate your experience on a scale of 1-5?
On June 29, our Anthem experts shared updates on the current state of Medicaid eligibility reviews and timelines, addressed coverage scenarios, and focused on how we’re helping disenrolled members avoid gaps in care. And as promised, they answered dozens of your questions.
During the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, nearly all Medicaid members were able to stay enrolled in their current health coverage regardless of changes in eligibility or status. Legislation was signed in December 2022, allowing states to begin removing ineligible members from their Medicaid programs as early as April 1, 2023.
This means millions of people may no longer qualify for Medicaid coverage and will be looking for answers, guidance and health coverage. You can partner with them for help.
We expect many disenrolled individuals will seek coverage from their employer (see Rhonda’s story below) or look to individual ACA-compliant plans. Either way, you play an important role in helping them understand all their options to stay covered.
Here you’ll find tools, resources and information so you can guide these individuals to the right solution for their needs and help them transition easily.
In 2020, Rhonda became unemployed and enrolled in Medicaid coverage. During the summer of 2021, she started a new job.
