New Paytient program offers interest-free payment plans for ACA Individual
Anthem has partnered with Paytient to give individual ACA clients in Georgia, Missouri, and Virginia an easier way to pay for healthcare services. Paytient is a Health Payment Account (HPA) that members can use to pay for out-of-pocket healthcare expenses today and repay over time – without interest or fees.
Once they sign up, members will receive a physical Paytient Visa card, and they can download the Paytient app for digital access. The Paytient Visa card can be used to cover healthcare expenses for mental health, laboratory, primary care, virtual care, and other medical-related services. With each transaction, members can choose a payment plan that fits their budget — with no interest or fees.
There are no credit checks or fees to activate an account. Members are asked to self-report income and expenses to ensure Paytient is a financially healthy tool for them, in keeping with federal and state lending regulations.
Once approved, members with Paytient accounts:
- Can pay for care using their Paytient Visa card or mobile app, then choose an interest-free payment plan to pay off their portion of expenses.
- Can use the card or app to pay for care for themselves or their dependents.
- Can pay for outstanding bills as long as they are not being collected by a third-party.
- Have a $1,000 line of credit for themselves or $2,000 if they have covered dependents.
