Liaison available for members with autism

Kentucky Anthem members with autism questions should call the customer service number on the back of their ID card first. If they need more help, our service representative can connect the member to a liaison who can investigate benefits and prior authorization, monitor claims, and help with any claims issues.

Services the liaison can investigate include monitoring the adjudication of autism treatment claims and explaining:

  • Plan benefits for autism treatment and the specific process to access those benefits.
  • The process for prior authorization of treatment, including specific documentation needed.
  • How to submit behavioral analysis therapy claims.
  • How claims for autism treatment were adjudicated, including any:
    • Deductibles.
    • Copayments.
    • Coinsurance.
    • Benefit limitations.
  • The member's appeal rights for limited or denied autism treatment coverage.
