2023 Rx Choice pharmacy changes
IngenioRx becomes CarelonRx in 2023, bringing value and choice with 67,000 pharmacies nationwide. Members can choose lower costs from 20,000 pharmacies including Albertsons/Safeway, CVS, Giant Eagle, Kroger, and Walmart. They can choose from 47,000 more pharmacies with higher out-of-pocket costs. All current pharmacies are staying in the Rx Choice network.
On January 1, 2023, some pharmacies will move from Level 1 to Level 2. About 5% of members will be affected by the roughly 12,000 pharmacies nationwide that will change levels. We’ll send a letter to affected members the first week of December telling them about the change and outlining their options.
Members are encouraged to choose a Level 1 pharmacy that provides high value. Members whose pharmacies move to Level 2 can choose a new pharmacy or home delivery to avoid higher out-of-pocket costs.
A new 2023 Rx Choice directory will be available online in early December.
