Covered California continues to offer public health emergency as a qualifying life event
While Open Enrollment ended January 31, 2022, Covered California continues to recognize the national public health emergency as a qualifying life event that permits individuals to obtain health coverage.
Covered California updated its regulations in 2021 to include a national public health emergency or pandemic that results in the declaration of a state or national emergency as a qualifying life event.
Eligible Californians can enroll in Individual health coverage through Covered California during the current public health emergency.
