To avoid disruption of commissions and ensure compliance with regulations, effective November 1, 2023, agents must have an active license and any state-required appointment.
As of this date, agent license and any state-required appointment are being validated at the time of commission payment and apply to both the writing agent and the payee tax ID. If the writing agent does not have an active license and any state-required appointment at the time of commission, commissions will cease immediately for the writing agent and agency.
