New Large Group Life and Disability options

Our updated Life and Disability contracts give clients more options to provide a benefit program that meets their employees’ needs. They will be available for Large Groups effective July 1, 2021 and later.

New or updated Life provisions include continuity language, living benefits, and life waiver of premium.

New or updated Disability provisions include:

For short-term disability:
- standard return-to-work incentives for short-term disability
- paid time off, vacation, sick time, and salary continuation not offset
- flexible disability definitions
- benefit plans that do not offset for California State Disability Insurance (SDI) benefits
- added rehabilitation incentives
For long-term disability:
- standard family care benefits
- optional 401(k) and 403(b) benefits.
