Anthem is creating greater access to affordable health care for tens of thousands Wisconsin consumers seeking coverage through the Wisconsin Health Care Marketplace. Anthem is expanding coverage to nearly 60 more counties, expanding from nine counties in Southeast Wisconsin to 68 of the state’s 72 counties. Collaborative agreements with several health systems throughout the state, including Ascension Wisconsin, ProHealth Care, Children’s Wisconsin, and others, made this increase in access possible.
This expansion comes at a critical time as the federal public health emergency, which extended eligibility for Medicaid health plans, is expected to end sometime in 2023.
Anthem will offer plans at all metal levels in 68 counties and has created a dedicated support center for Wisconsin health care navigators helping consumers choose health plans for 2023.
