To avoid disruption of commissions and ensure compliance with regulations, as of November 1, 2023, agents must have an active license and any state-required appointment.
An agent license and any state-required appointment will be verified at the time of commission payment and apply to both the writing agent and the payee tax ID. If the writing agent does not have an active license and any state-required appointment, commissions to the agent and the agency will stop.

To move business to an agent in the agency with an active license and appointment, the principal or authorized officer of the agency should email the name of the old agent and the name and NPN, or other unique identifier, of the new agent with an effective date of November 1, 2023, to producers@elevancehealth.com. The group must be notified that the agent assigned to the policy has changed.
