Monica Schmude is the new President of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Virginia.
Schmude held several leadership and executive positions at Cigna over the last 13 years. She served as president of Cigna’s mid-Atlantic market, covering Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. Before that she was president of the Pennsylvania-Delaware-West Virginia-Ohio market, growing the company’s presence in that area.
